Smart technology and spaces will be the key focus when leading thinkers come together for Australia’s premier event in facilities management, Total Facilities (TFX), next April in Melbourne.

From 21-23 April, TFX 2020 will showcase innovations from the industry and discuss prominent trends, from upgrades to smarter technology and the use of data in monitoring facilities, to wellness and workplace design.

Over 150 leading facilities management suppliers will take part in the event – the nation’s only central marketplace for facilities suppliers and the smart building industry.

According to TFX event manager Andrew Lawson, it is an important time for the facilities management sector to come together, with major transformation and disruptions expected
in the next five years.

“Our 2019 industry report showed that the landscape of facilities management is forever changing, with the adoption of new, smart technologies a key trend driving growth within
the Asia-Pacific sector,” he explains.

“By bringing together leading voices and innovators from the industry, the 2020 event is an opportunity for exhibitors and attendees to collaborate, share learnings and take home
strategies to use in their own workplaces and facilities.

“Collaboration is the starting point for integrating smarter, sophisticated services and ultimately building more ethical, sustainable built environments.”

Responding to calls for more business opportunities and networking at the event, TFX expanded their 2020 program from two to three days.

Already, several big name brands, including McCormack Property Services, Urbanise and Madison Technologies, have been confirmed for the event.

In acknowledgment of the increasing role facilities management plays in the wider built environment, Total Facilities will for the first time be co-located with renowned trade show DesignBUILD at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This co-location will bring together over 6,000 built environment and facilities management specialists under one roof.

It will also involve the launch of a new digital building zone, to showcase the latest technology driving the built environment, from construction software to data-driven building management tools.

Hosted by TFX and DesignBUILD, the digital building zone will provide strategic insights from industry leaders in dedicated education programs throughout the events.

Now entering its ninth year, TFX’s three-day exhibition and education program will showcase a range of products and services, from technology and software, through to cleaning, maintenance and green facilities management.
