DIVERSIFIED EXHIBITIONS PROVES DIVERSITY AND EXCELLENCE WITH SIX EEAA AWARDS

12/12/2012

Premium exhibitions and events company, Diversified Exhibitions, has once again shown why it is a leader in its field winning six awards across a range of industry sectors at the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) Awards for Excellence.

Grand Designs Live Melbourne won Best Consumer Show over 10,000m2 and best consumer marketing campaign for both Melbourne and Sydney.

Returning again in 2013 – to be staged in Sydney July 2013 and Melbourne in October 2013, Grand Designs Live has positioned itself as Australia’s most dynamic and innovative home design show, appealing to discerning high income consumers looking to create their own ‘Grand Design’. The concept of innovation in design comes together with essentially four home shows in one, and one extraordinary event. Grand Designs Live is presented in partnership with Freemantle Media.

The campaign for Grand Designs Live Melbourne centred around differentiating this show from anything else in the local market, highlighting the premium and bespoke nature of the exhibitors, sponsors and products. Alignments with targeted organisations from a variety of industries assisted in maximising audience reach. Headlining the Melbourne show was UK Grand Designs host Kevin McCloud, which was a strategic use of celebrity to attract consumer and media interest in the show’s launch to the Melbourne market.

Diversified Exhibitions’ ability to creatively utilise its budget and the show’s distinctive assets to their fullest potential paid off significantly with Grand Designs Live received glowing accolades from sponsors, exhibitors and the 48,000 visitors who attended the Melbourne & Sydney events.

Highlighting the diversified nature of the company, other awards went to Australian Fitness & Health Expo, Australian Gas Technology, Australian Fitness & Health Expo and Fine Food New Zealand.

Diversified Exhibitions Chief Executive, Matt Pearce commended the skill and dedication of his team and their ability to run more than 30 of the biggest industry-specific trade and consumer shows in Australia every year. Grand Designs and Grand Designs Australia is broadcast on ABC and The LifeStyle Channel.
